ANEMOI THIGH FILLER

The Anemoi: Wind Gods, Chaos, and Change

The Anemoi—the ancient Greek gods of the winds—weren’t just breezes drifting through mythology. They were raw, untamed forces, shaping the seasons, commanding storms, and tearing through land and sea. In a world where chaos reigns, these deities embodied movement, transformation, and power—a perfect reflection of the art we create in Boston, Oxford, and beyond. (I’m firing my copywriter for this paragraph)

Boreas – The North Wind ( The bloke at the top, for North), violent and relentless, dragging winter in its wake. Brutal, but essential.

Notus – The South Wind, (bottom, cos compasses) humid and heavy, bringing late summer storms and ruinous rains.

Eurus – The East Wind, (the golds near the bottom, leaning eastish), unpredictable and wild, often forgotten but never powerless.

Zephyrus – The West Wind, (the only one left…) softer, seductive, bringing spring and renewal, but never without its own edge.

We finished Paul’s leg the other day! Once it’s all healed I’ll get a healed picture of the healed tattoo all healed…

We had a gap at the back, the original plan was just to blend the background across the back, but sitting back I thought we could just squeeze something in there, and we decided the Anemoi would work nicely!

The question was how on earth do you draw the wind?

They’re Greek winds, so I started with old greek men, modelled on the statues they have for them. And then just went mental with it! I wanted o make sure the colours represented each wind, in a way that made sense. North is cold, so blues. East is the Autumn wind, so warm browns and oranges, kinda golden. South is the summer wind, so reds, warm, toasty, and finally West is the Spring wind, so greens, lively, growy… you know?

It always feel weird when we get an end like this!
